Prof. Chitra Weddikkara

Prof. Chitra Weddikkara is an internationally recognized expert in the construction industry, with over 30 years of distinguished experience as a Chartered Architect, Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, and Dispute Resolution Specialist. She is the Managing Director of Qserve (Pvt) Ltd and Chairperson of the Qserve Group of Companies, with a career that spans landmark developments across the world. A trailblazer in both academia and practice, Prof. Weddikkara has led iconic projects such as Lotus Tower, Cinnamon Bentota, and Mövenpick Colombo, while also serving as Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Moratuwa and as a Senior Lecturer in Australia. She was the President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka. She also served as the Regional President for South Asia at the Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE), showcasing her global leadership and commitment to the profession. In addition to her project and academic accomplishments, Prof. Weddikkara holds key advisory positions in several national and international professional organizations, contributing to policy, regulation, education, and industry development. Her global credentials and dedication to advancing standards have made her one of the most influential and respected figures in the built environment sector.

Eng. Athula Galketiya

Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering ,University of Peradeniya Eng. Athula Galketiya has served in many capacities ranging from Site Engineer to corporate Additional General Manager at Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) the leading multi disciplinary Engineering consultancy organization in Sri Lanka from 1986 with 36 years of experience.

Eng. Galketiya’s influence extended across all three divisions of CECB -Consultancy Division ,EPC Division & International Division.

In 2011 he assumed the roll of the inaugural CEO of Central Engineering Services (pvt) Ltd (CESL)., the construction arm of CECB ,showcasing his leadership capabilities.

Notably Eng.Galketiya served as the Team Leader of Jointly Appointed Employers Quality Representative (JAEQR) for the Project Infrastructure Development and Landscaping Development of Colombo Port City from August 2020 to August 2022 ,showcasing his commitment to excellence in Project Management.

His remarkable journey continued as he was appointed as the 10th Chairman Of CECB & CESL in August 2022. A testament to his leadership skills and strategic vision.

In August 2023 Eng.Athula Galketiya transitioned to his role as Vice Chairman of Air Port & Aviation (Pvt)Ltd,.(AASL) making a new chapter in his distinguished career.

Eng. Galketiya was appointed as the Chairman of AASL in December 2023 and he has brought a unique blend of experience, leadership and engineering acumen to steer the company towards new heights of success in dynamic aviation industry.

Eng. Galketiya is now serving as the Chief Resident Engineer for Qserve (Pvt) Ltd the Local Consultant to Proposed Construction of Faculty of Medicine ,University of Sabargamuwa.

Anjana Doluweera

Anjana Doluweera is an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 20 years of significant involvement in cost management and project leadership across a wide range of construction sectors. She has successfully delivered high-value projects both locally and internationally, including commercial, institutional, high-rise residential, religious, airport, road, and large-scale infrastructure developments. Her project portfolio includes luxury residential towers, star-class hotels, diplomatic buildings, hospitals, and commercial complexes, as well as mixed-use developments, leisure facilities, and institutional buildings. Anjana’s expertise spans the entire project lifecycle—from cost planning and tendering to contract management and final accounts—consistently achieving high-quality and efficient results. She delivers exceptional, results-driven outcomes that add measurable value to every project.

Eng. (Cdr.) (Dr.) Gihan Jayatilleke, (Rtd.) SLN

Highly skilled, talented, target oriented and accomplished Chartered Civil Engineer with 35 years of diverse experience in corporate management, procurement, contract & general administration, project management and exceptional ability for planning, organizing, monitoring & controlling, human resources management through the training & experience obtained from the service as an Officer in Sri Lanka Navy. Experienced professional with a graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management from University of Moratuwa & Construction Management from Open University of Sri Lanka, Diploma in Commercial Arbitration from Institute for the Development of Commercial Law & Practice (ICLP) and Diploma in Construction Adjudication from Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA)

Sithum Ranasinghe

With 15 years of experience handling construction of several five-star resort properties, Condominiums, mixed development projects, Highways, Bridges & Waste Water Treatment Plants, Medical faculty project in the capacity of a Project Manager, QAQC Engineer & Site Engineer. I believe I bring in the required amount of working knowledge in the relevant field. Further I have competency handling project management tools including software packages such as Primavera and MS Project and also time tested project management tools. I also have an additional qualification in the field of quantity surveying which I believe it provides me added advantage in the field.
